This week on Behind the Mirror of Music Dannii Cohen talks to Richard Skipper, in the days leading up to his amazing “Hello Dolly” event at the Crazy Coqs London on Monday August 5 at 7PM.

In this interview Dannii and Richard discuss the history of “Hello Dolly” as well as the history of theatre and entertainment in general: how have audiences changed over the years and has the Internet changed how we approach artists, art and each other? 

Richard also talks about his decades long friendship with original “Dolly” Carol Channing and how Tovah Feldshuh prepared for the role and plus his personal journey from theatre loving youth to performer and friend of the stars.

Richard Skipper  is an entertainer, singer, raconteur, and host. He has appeared in legendary venues from The Taj Mahal in Atlantic City to Carnegie Hall and The Hilton and has shared stages with some of the biggest names in show business from Carol Channing to Lesley Ann Warren… Most recently Mary Jo Catlett and Jo Anne Worley. He has appeared on the Windstar Cruise ship, Las Vegas to Windsor Ontario and all points in between. He is currently touring with his acclaimed show, Still Going Strong! Celebrating the History and Legacy of Hello, Dolly!  This Monday, August five he brings his tour to London to celebrate the current revival  starring Imelda Staunton.
